The CIJC (CIJC) Working Rule Agreement is the largest agreement of its kind in the construction industry and has more than 500,000 workers. With effect from 25 June, base rates increased by 3.2% and 2.9% in June 2019. In addition, the Industrial Sickness Benefit (IAF) will be increased by 6.1%, with the payment period increased from 10 to 13 weeks.

And later in the year, the benefit for death in service will increase from £32,500 to £40,000, which will double to £80,000 if death occurs either at work or on the way to work or work. In the meantime, all tariffs and certificates provided for in the CIJC agreement of 1 August 2018 continue to apply.
